ridiculous market prices
chemicals need 1 mineral to produce and sell for 17+q ..minerals cost 20c..so its costs like 20+ to make chemicals u then sell for 17c
glass 11c ..needs 1 chemical (17), 100 power (8) +3 and quarts ..u re producing something that costs 30c to then sell it for 11c
who are these people producing glass? Surely they must have their own materials.
Anyway the reason I posted this rant is I have 40 factories and have reached t he 100 building cap. So now when I wanna produce something profitable other than gas I cant do it coz I cant buy minerals for chemicals since it costs more than my future profits. Minerals != gas and shouldnt cost 20c
ok so someone pls sell me minerals for like 3c please please please

First of all I see plenty of minerals on the market for 13.50-14. Secondly, it is odd that Quartz and Minerals are nearly identical to create, but Quartz sells for 2 and Minerals sells for so much. (And the also similar Iron Ore for around 9).
It is wise to check these things and see if you're being as efficient as possible.

Quartz is really only used in glass ... which is then cars and computers i think. Minearls is used in chemicals which has many other componets needed for it .... more demand, higher price.Knolls wrote:First of all I see plenty of minerals on the market for 13.50-14. Also, Varg, I thought you said you were happy just making oil, guess you want diversity more then money.
Also, my minerals cost around 1.24c, and i wouldn't want to sell for 3c, too low of profit. I guess you should make minerals now Varg

It's better to make your own stuff for a low price then to depend on others for a high price, becuase believe the price is higher, and never gets lower.
i m not trying to make CENSORED chemicals to make money. I m just tryign to fill my warehouse with some oil before i go on vacation. So i cant produce gas right now so i m trying to produce something else. I m sure there s a company out there with 50 mines who can just push millions of minerals into the market for chaper prices. Just because bigger companies have more cash than you doesnt mean you can screw them. I just want reasoable trade thats all not some greedy small companies selling stuff that no one else wants to produce and setting a 5x price like minerals.
I know I'm late to the game here (I stopped reading the forum for a couple of days, then every day since, I'd realized there would be more to read, so I decided to wait until I had time, and well, you know), so anyway, nobody's screwing anyone -- it's all part of the economy of the game. Presumably, if minerals were so profitable, more companies would get into the product line, and there would be price competition. I happen to have mines, and produce minerals, but I produce them for myself. It never even occurred to me to sell them since they are fairly incidental to my company's operations, and I'm guessing the reason the market supply is so short is that most producers feel the same. Why that is, I don't have the slightest idea, but it's all supply and demand.Varg AB wrote:I m sure there s a company out there with 50 mines who can just push millions of minerals into the market for chaper prices. Face it, if you thought you were being SO taken advantage of, you'd sell a factory or store or whatever, and build a mine, and make your own minerals. Otherwise, it's all supply and demand. If people stop buying minerals at the market prices, eventually the producers will have to lower their prices if they want to stay in business.
I think

Pro-proliterian! Rise up and resist the Bourgeise!
I agree with the above comment.
Though in a more cynical saying, if you weren't so used to getting everything laid at your feet by being rich and powerful, you'd have to have prices that you (A) Make a profit and (B) Give you enough credits to invest elsehwere ...
3.00 credits for 1 minearl is hardly a good deal. That means that I make 1 mineral for 1.14c .... So If sell to you, 1000 minearls for 3.00c ....
it cost 1,140.00 to make .... lets guess 100.00 for contract ...so thats 1,240 total cost to make and send to you ....
3,000.00 (3.00c per mineral)
- 1,240.00
==1,560.00c
..... that not that good, thats noly about twice what you make it for. I wouldn't want to make something for hours which I would only get 2x profit. Its absurb.
Look at you , over 60 million and complaining over miniscule prices. I make my own becuase these miniscule prices at my scale would cripple me if I bought elsewhere. Most things are best homegrown.
Make your own stuff, don't look to cheat people of thier money while you have the high life.

Mines can make stones. Since stones sell for 12-15 these days, why would anyone make minerals and sell them for less profit then just selling stones, which require no research?
Lets say one option is selling stones on contract at 13. To make the same profit selling minerals, you would need to sell them at 13.65 on contract. I hate to be a bother, but what Q mineral do you think that is?
Basically, go make gas

I make my own minerals for my products, its not even worth selling. But Varg, is complaining becuase he wants to have ceap mineral WAY below price and he has mutli-million dollars, let alone assets. I do not see why he wants the little people to lower thier prices so he can gorge them out of profits.Capitalis wrote:Mines can make stones.
