Swearing area

Post by Guest » 19.06.2010, 21:49

There should be a part of the forum were we would be allowed to swear without that censor problems. we can insult companys and say there names without charge. This area would be HUGELY popular and should boost forum activity. it would also let us release steam at other stupid players who have the brain power of an ice cube.

And we need an area where players can complain about a lack of forum activity. And we need an area where players can comment on other players behaviour in the swear-area. And we need...

[If you found any irony in this posting you probably found the author's intention. ;) ]

well, maybe not swear at them but I was thinking about setting up a web page where where you can submit ratings on companies in kapilands - do they honor their contract agreements? do they rip people off? do they help newcomers?

stuff like that

so if there's a company that did you wrong you can post about it and give them a poor rating. or if there's a company that is great and helpful and fair you can post a positive rating

I am sorry but such a "rating system" cannot be allowed.
We cannot tolerate such systems (that may be based on a good idea), because they can easily turn into a pillory. And this is something that is not good for a community of players that try to tolerate and cooperate with each other.
So better do not start such a page. :)

This swearing area will double up as a rant area and we can all have fun and not have to hijack a thread in the building sale section

HEY! HEY!!!
That kinda thing will really hurt some player's buisness! (like mine)

and ofcorse that then will be players paying others for rating them good and such things...
no reason to do it.

I don't see anything good coming out of any of these ideas. It would be opening up a can of worms and say hello to flame wars. No thanks.

Another thing, there's been enough threads in the past saying "DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY, HE RIPPED ME OFF"
only to be followed by a "sorry about that, turns out he was just not online that day so he couldn't send his products to me" type of message two days later.

It would be a very bad idea to allow for that type of threads, as even more false accusations would immediately hit the forums.
This would put honest companies in a bad spot over very small issues.

Good reputation of company spreads out without any ratings or whatever ;) Serve your clients as you would like to be served!

Though my swearing area would be nice

What are the main flaws with it and I will come of with solutions to the faults.

Swearing (and offences as we had to read them...) is totally inacceptable in here, especially the way you might want to do it. There is also no need for it. Swearing is always a sign of being helpless, of having no other instruments, of being unable to solve a situation.
You do not need to be aggressive. Simply be better than the other, be professional... or be intelligent and clever and make friends with everyone. :)

Honestly I though you tried to make a joke with this thread but unfortunately we had to recognize (after some specific postings) that you are absolutely serious about this suggestion.
Yet this thread will be nothing else than a suggestion.

Watch out, you are turning into Winta...

[EDIT by GoldenEye: Sometimes it is better to avoid a certain comment and remain quiet, especially when you have nothing to say about the entire topic.
