A way to change your HQ/buildings country
I think it could be interesting for some players if it was possible to change the countries of their buildings or at least their headquarters. I know that it wont work if this is very easy to do, so some suggestions: 1) the player has to have a VIP account 2) the player has to pay some heavy taxes, like 1000/2000/5000/10000 per m
Yes, the people who rule the game should think of this case, that happens a lot (I am an example
): you start the game in a country that you think is good, and build your buildings in cool places. Then, when you gained more experience in game, you find out that you built/started in the wrong place. You cannot change the place you started and no one would buy a factory in Saudi Arabia, for example! For HQ, you cant do anything and for buildings it is too painful to sell them to the system. So, I think this idea can help solve this problem

I would support it as long as it had some catches.
What do I mean? You get to trade for free to people in your own country. If you could change anytime you wanted it would be a crazy. However, if there was a 3 time change limit with a min 30 day waiting period between changing headquarters it would solve that problem.

I like the idea of changing HQ...but I feel that once or twice per lifetime is adequate with the penalty being a % of your net worth...say 5%
If you have not learned by then..you never will.
Building Factories and then changing location is a different story..I went thru this at the beginning...I just build in the right place and sold the other at a loss...a price to pay for not reading this Forum.
Again I think once or twice in a lifetime is adequate..with the penatly maybe being a reduction in size to keep your production the same or slightly less..
Stores are another matter but I feel that once a year is adequate and again the penalty should be a reduction in size..maybe based on Region in order to keep the amount you can sell the same. And you can only move up...not down.

If we think in terms of real life, it would take years and millions to literally move buildings (especially factories and power plants) to another country. Sure there are houses that can split into sections and moved elsewhere but we are talking whole factories, stores, and RC centers that are hundred times larger than a simple house. Let alone firing hundreds of employees (don't forget compensation for each employee) and then rehiring hundreds of new employees will cost millions. If you look at it this way, it would be cheaper to just sell the building and build a new one where you want than to move an existing building elsewhere.
As for moving the HQ, I think there should be a special building called HQ that everybody starts with and once you reach manager level, you can sell your HQ so you can build a new one at a different country to change your location. Your HQ must be a certain size depending on your level and how many times you changed (including canceling a HQ under construction because you change your mind) when you started the construction. You must build your HQ all at once so the size can not get bigger (unless you demolish it and rebuild it at a later level) or be smaller than your minimum size for that level. And if you don't have a HQ or it is being build, you can't send/receive contracts and you will have to pay the highest transport cost for stocking stores. Also HQ doesn't count toward FA and you will receive a score bonus depending on how many times you changed your HQ (none will get you most points and hundreds will get you none [or negative]).
The formula for calculating the HQ size could be:
20m*(# of previous HQ construction attempts ^ your level)
# of previous HQ construction attempts is how many times you started building a new HQ which includes HQs under construction that you canceled and the one you start with
Your level is your level. Level 1 starts at Retailer (unless the system starts level 1 at Dishwasher) and counts up from there.

In real life maybe, but in the game, if you built in the wrong place, no one will buy it and you will have to sell to the system (earning almost nothing). And, there is the building time: if you have a 2000 mYounger Business wrote:...it would be cheaper to just sell the building and build a new one where you want than to move an existing building elsewhere.
