I need some people to tell me what they think

I recently have built a power plant and i sold some steel too make about 250k( im still making the power). i need some advice if i should now buy a well because i can now supply my self for power to get water/oil cheaper. i was wondering if its more profitable to make my own oil and water and sell that rather than just buidling powerplants and selling power till im loaded. any advice? if you guys have any alternative paths for me to take it would be great to hear them! thanks everyone.

i was also wondering if after doing all that would it be possible to open up my own gas station when i got lots of money to make more profit by using my own oil. is this even profitable..?

of course to sell my own oil id have to get a factory to make the gas to sell....uhhhhhh

I haven't sold gas, but I've heard that it is the most popular product to make for stores. The only wrinkle is that average quality is high, so lower quality gas will either take longer to sell or require a lower price or some combination.

It might be a good idea to concentrate on making oil at first, while you are researching both oil and gas. Find someone to buy your oil on contract. When your oil and gas quality are pretty high, then you can make high Q gas with your own high Q oil.

it isnt necessarily best to make everything yourself, calculate how much money you make if you produce something yourself rather than buying it from market. if you can make more money by making gas than by making oil, build factories and buy oil from market

Buying one well isn't a bad investment in any case. As long as you don't expand it, you won't lose much by selling it later.

If you're interested in something, go ahead and dip your toe in the water. It's a lot more fun than spending hours with a calculator, going back and forth between Stats and Market and Help pages. There is no final destination, so it won't hurt to waste a little time and money as you figure out how you want to play the game.
