I think a lot of the "BV" companies are Dutch people, I don't think a lot of other countries use it.

The Netherlands are famous for windmills and clogs (those wooden shoes) and tulips and such.

People expect to see them when they're on holiday in here, but there's not a single windmill near Amsterdam

You'd have to be on the other half of the country to see most of those stereotypical things that make this country famous.

I haven't managed to see it yet.

there might be one somewhere in Amsterdam, just for tourists that want to know what a windmill looks like

but it's not a 'working' windmill, that's for sure.

unless it's on the outskirts of amsterdam where there's actually wind, but tourists don't tend to go that far...

Where I live there are loads of windmills, not much to look at unfortunately: they are modern windmills made of steel and they make a lot of noise.

And we got many farmers over here who actually wear the wooden shoes..

Yes I live way up north, in Friesland, our farmers still wear wooden shoes and also spit on the ground after they said something.

And you are right, last queensday was a disaster, I hope something like that will never happen again, it was a rotten day for all of us I think.

I've been on holiday in Groningen before, saw farmers who are still wearing wooden shoes over there as well.

I like my holidays in the northern provinces.
