Post by Guest » 08.06.2009, 19:28

Looking at what direction to take My company but am trying to work out profit margins and don't have production costs or how many produced hourly by a 20m2 electronics factory for the following...

CPU

E-components

Computer

I want to run the numbers BEFORE making the final decision and actualy buying the electronics factory.

Hey, I produce my own Glass/Plastic/E-Comps as well as sell TVs in my stores and it costs me around 1.2k to produce. It costs a far bit more to buy the components and then produce though so real cost is a little higher. I also sell for 4k but if I drop them to 3k I can sell 2 times my space (so 20m sells 40 in a day) at Q14-16.

That doesn't have the info I need, it just states THEIR overall production costs rather than a breakdown of materials & cost. I know the meterials that go into them, but not the production charge per unit.

It did give Me the per hour production figures though, thanks

The best offer for E comps I have seen is 120+10Q
Buy a Green factory, it costs 100c to make an e comp in red, 30c in green
E comps for me cost 30c for prod costs, 50c of power and 30c for silicon
So 110c all up selling for 300ea or more isent bad
The one problem with e factories is their horrible expansion time. They take 30 mins per m2 so its takes forever to expand. Contact sesta for silicon or ill send u some of my stocks for the same price he sent to me (145ea). You can get output from kapitools

Not Offer... production costs!

Eg... 1 wood needs - 50kw power, 50 water, 1k seeds, and has a PRODUCTION COST of $9.0

Thats is what I am looking for regarding the Electronics factory goods.

Edit: Oops needed to read your post better LOL

E-comps in red has 100 production cost?

What about the other goods?

Ravenstar:
Glad to help :)

Puzzman:
Probably.

When I started this game, I wanted to sell electrical equipment, so I bought a load of silicon and some plastic, and started to make components, cpu's, and computers.

I gave up on that pretty fast, it did give me a profit, but not much.
I'm only using up the last of my silicon stock nowadays by making e-components, but my main focus is stones and water right now, which is more profitable.

Running the numbers the profit margin is very small for all of them. I guess it is different when you are at the begining of the game and can be on the leading edge of quality.

I will probably get an electronics factory... heck given I'm using R2 to experiment and learn ready for R3 I might just get at least one of everything eventualy :D

I just (well, in January) made the experience of being one of the first players in a new world - experience is not in any case applicable... I made my "mistakes" on two servers (one of them is R2 - thank god here I had a few days more experience), so I took some experience over, BUT the circumstances to start on 3 will be (unless you wait a few weeks) totally different (if this will be applicable, too) from an already existing realm with everything running... Extremely changing prices (especially raw materials), and other stuff (Some might remember when R2 was brandnew)...

I currently see, that starting a few months later can make things a lot easier... And I hope I have not told too much

Try Televisions?

they need

5 Plastic
1 E-component
1.5 Glass
700 Power

So they cost about
5* 120 (I think Horizon is offering it cheaper) = 600
1* 150 = 150
1.5* 66 = 100
700*0.1 = 70
300
So about 1220 a piece which can be sold for around 1600

Making you 380 a piece ignoring any increase in Q you get (for example for 66c you can get Q5+ Glass making you another 50 per a unit)
