Growth question

Post by Guest » 30.04.2009, 10:44

Being a competetive type I don't want to fall behind people who started at a similar time to me. Since filling my building slots and now expanding my growth has taken a nosedive. I'm still growing, but don't know if I'm growing fast enough to keep up with everyone else.

So my question is:- Does anybody know just as a rough guide how long it should take to level up from...
Businessman to wholesaler
wholesaler to manager

Also could somebody tell me how to fix my signature please ?

This is a really tough question. Everyone plays the game at their own pace. And because there are so many different ways to start up your business, no one gains the same.

If you really want to compare yourself against others, my suggestion would be adding the names of a few players who are at a similar level you are at to your adress book, so you can observe their progress and compare it to yours. From your entry list, you can click on info and it'll show you their cash, fixed assets, and score. Pay attention to the fixed assets part. For now, I think it'll give you the best idea of where you stand in comparison to the other companies.

Well it changes from player to player.

So far yes you are working well using all building slots etc and after you do that it does get more expensive+harder to get your FA higher. Though remember level doesnt mean everything. If i saved up all my money for a month or 2 i would reach tycoon level... sure its a level up but converting that to FA its maybe 1bil at most?

FA>cash

So if you reach manager level with 5mil FA and 60mil cash then that isn't good. If you reach it with 60mil FA and 5mil cash then that is a lot better and means your a better player than those who do majority cash little FA. :)

Also contest are a huge factor, when the cattle contest came on (a long long time ago) I was the level below manager, and within 2 days I bumped up 3 levels.

Thanks for the answers guys.

After posting I checked build to expansion costs and realised why my growth had dropped.

That was some going rasfast, businessman to wholesaler in 5 days. I don't think I will be able to do that.

Yeah, contest is the lucky star for all beginners :) Because you can use your slots. F.i. you have 60 factories 20m, then cattle contest begins, and you can destroy all factories and build cattle-breading instead and make a HUGE profit. This is what I have done :)
