Furniturestore in Oman

Post by Guest » 26.03.2009, 19:20

I bought a furniturestore 5500 m2 in Oman yesterday.
Just to experiment with, (prices etc).
Yesterday the average price on stats were 500something caps for q12 wardrobes, and there was a demand of 1.5 mil wardrobes, and only I think 90 or so supply.

So I filled my Oman store with wardrobes Q19 and set the price to 3500.
Sellingtime was 12 days!!
(A store in germany, 500m2 smaller size same price is around 38 hours sellingtime!)

Anyway, this morning I looked at the stats and the average price had gone up to 1860 caps q17, and supply is now 196.
So I filled up the shop again and now it "only" takes 6.5 days to sell all.

Did I do this??
And if so will I increase the average price even more if I keep on selling for 3500, or should I raise my sellingprice again? to 3800 for instance.

Well if you sold that many then you rasied the Q and the average price and ofc the supply. But even if supply never meets demand the price wont go up forever, it will end soon i would guess. Like even if your in africa and havent seen a leather sofa for over 5years you wont pay

great!
I didn't know 1 store could make such a difference.
Unless it is the only store ofcourse..
I wonder how long I can keep increasing it, I will try.

I read somewhere else that in yellow that the only really profitable shops were furni stores, so you got lucky possibly and found a goldmine? :P

But yeah if theres a low supply and high demand you will shift you stuff :D :P

lol, well, then I must switch again.
But I think more companies should try it in Oman, maybe demand will also increase.
Besides, it is the only decent thing to do.
I mean those people have been without wardrobes for a very long time, must be a dream come true for them..
Finally: we have wardrobes!!

Lmao praying to their various gods each day for wardrobes... and at last! :P

Only reason for the high demand thoguh is due to all the mines and wells that are there, and think of all the contests in the past few months for mine products... well more like a few months ago, but yeah :P loads of mines were porbably made then and now used to make stones or something :)

So alsas the market has begun an upward trend :P

Depends how you look at it, I am selling Q19 at 3600 now.
One wardrobe costs around 2500, (when calculated with marketprices) so yeah, I guess I am making some profit, but compared to the other furniturestores (sellingtime) it is nothing.
But I am getting there, in any case it is fun doing and fun watching the price go up.
It ads to the game. :D
