Location of buildings

How do you know where to place the different buildings? Where should a Power station be for instance? Green or Yellow?

Look at the topic "plantation@green" on this side

As disaster wrote the thread "plantation@green" has much info.

In short:
Red:
- factories produce faster.
- production costs are 3x green production cost and 1.5x yellow.

Yellow:
- mines and wells produce faster.
- production costs are 2x green and 0.66x red.

Green:
- plantations produce faster.
- production costs are 0.33x red and 0.5x yellow.

Looking at that info.
- Don't build anything in yellow but mines and wells.
- Plantations should always be build in green.
- Factories can be build in both green and red mostly depending on their level of production costs.

Factories like e-plants have high production costs.
For those green can be more effective but not everybody agrees on that point.
Usually steel can be more effective in green to, but most other products produced in a factory have to low production cost to bother.

Expensive mining products like diamonds can be more effective in green, but stones/coal/iron ore should be produced in yellow mines.

Power plants are like factories.
But it all depends on the market power value.
Right now in R2 it is around 0.11 which makes it better to produce in green.
In R1 however its more around 0.25 each making Red a better option due to its higher production.

You'll have to decide yourself, there is no real fixed walkthrough for this game since this game is rather based on offer and demand of products then fixed values.

In short read the side descriptions:
RED
Industrial Area
-high wage level
-high spending capacity
-high construction and
production costs
-research 20% faster
-production increases
by 25%

So thats for RC's and certain low cost buildings that you want to produce goods faster

GREEN
Farming Area
-low wage level
-low spending capacity
-low construction
and production costs

-farming and plantation
products are being
produced 25% faster

So this means its good for the named buildigns and those should always be built here and also buildings with high cost products. Shops should never be built here due to the low spending capacity

YELLOW
Raw Material Area
-medium wage level
-low spending capacity
-medium construction
and production costs
-mines and wells produce
66% faster

This is purely for the above named buildings eg Mines+Wells. Nothing else, they cost more and don't bring you in any more products except for the above mentioned buildings

Power plants go in either Red or green, green is for cheaper power but if you go in for the long term its smart to buy in red :)
