plantaion @ green?

the green or red area is better for wood producing?
workers = 2
q = 0
time = 1h

@ yellow area:
product = 26
money = 481

As far as I know, all plantations are always built in green.
The same is true for most "food buildings" and some "power buildings"

low wage level
-low spending capacity
-low construction
and production costs
-farming and plantation
products are being
produced 25% faster

It's cheap and makes it just as fast as in red so of course always build planations in green

Basically all shops, RC's, special buildings go in red for 3 reasons.

Shops- they make more money in red as theinhabitants are richer and there is a bigger demand+more cash.

RC's- you can research 25% faster here than anywhere else

Special buildings- the costs are the same in any area you build them and if you add inhabitants they add to the NPC, meaning in shops demand is raised, raising all prices, so preferably put them in red locations where your shops are.

That is all, for production buildings though i think above is pretty accurate, im not sure on car+textle factories being in red though, could raise the production price to high, but im not in those industries so it inst my place to speak out :)

Car factory = Green
Electronic factory = Green

Do NOT build a car or an electronic factory in red. The money you save more than makes up for the loss in production.

also if you plan to be in perfumes, then build chemical factory in green :wink:

New list

Factory = - Green if producing Q0 Steel
- Red for anything else

Plantation = Green
Mine = Yellow
Well = Yellow
Cattle-breeding = Green
Butcher's shop = Red
Textile factory = Red
Car factory = Green
Electronic factory = Green
Fruit plantation = Green
Food factory = Red
Beverages factory = Red
Joinery = Red
Toy factory = Red
Jewels factory = Red
Chemical plant = Red (Green for perfumes)
TV Station = Green
Power plant = Green/Red ( up to you ! )
Ice Factory = Red

Shops, RC's, Special buildings all go in red, focus all 3 in one area to make more money from your shops.

Kapi-mysterium lesson:

And now a special hint, just spoken generally:
From time to time selling products in yellow stores can be more profitable than selling them in red. ;)
This depends on the stats and on the products...

And when the power price is up to 0.12 Caps, producing power in red is better.

ahhh not quite ;)

Someone else i read worked it out including expansion costs, cost of employees etc, im not sure what time period they worked it out over for, but they worked out that in the short term you should only build in red when the price is over 0.23 :)

Why is it better to produce power in red after that price?

Make calculations for an hour of production for both colors (red +25%) and substract your cost from market price. You can do that with excel easily as i did. It changes around 0.12 caps.

Producing power in green may be good for a beginner, because it makes a good profit and buildings cost less than in red. But when you begin to expand your buildings - red is much better.
So, I write a rule for myself: start producing power in green, but don't expand any PP. After some time sell PPs in green to the system and build new in red.

he is right because at some point even thiough in red power costs 0.03 to make and in green 0.01 to make in red you can make more power in same time than in green zone. So at a certain point of your development you should start changing your pp from green to red.

Another tip.
In begining make pp in green until full buildings then start seling 1 by 1 to system and replace them with red ones until you get 60 pp in red then start expanding

And for the main question:
I am a wood maker myself and i tell you build in green and with curent prices on water and power you should try to make them by yourself unless you make high q and you get decent profit

This is the worst tip i've seen in some time.
Why would you advise anybody to sell to system??
And why would you not expand green PP's but start expanding red PP's when power price isn't over 0.10 like usually in the start of a game??

Really, i do hope nOObs ignore this nOOb advise.

Are you trying to tell people to produce their own water and power to be able to make a profit on wood or are you telling them to produce their own wood??

Should you try to tell the first, again you are giving false advise.
Again the bogus "when i produce my own resources i can make a profit cuz they are less expensive compared to the market"-BS.
