Soooooo late... as I wrote: The starting (and also duration) can differ. ;)

@ sally: Thanks for that typo-hint. It's corrected now.

@ Greed: We'll see what time brings. :D

I'm really looking forward for a contest of Q10+ products, like Q13 toys, or Q17 beef, etc.

high Q gives a much bigger variety to the game, and involves more strategies.

The most boring item will be Q0 mining item...

Btw, I noticed a very low interest to the contest on realm2. Is this normal?
Nobody wants to buy corn 6, but almost everybody ready to sell it. Maybe the bigger players wait till the end of the time and will sell all their corn in the last minute?

Lots of big players will be saving up cash and looking at the high prices , if you think about it in a few days when all the people who have the facilities to make corn (but originally didnt have the research) Will get the Q needed and then the supply will shoot through the roof, prices drop low and then people will buy 100,000's at a time for low prices :)

Some guy is selling 20M corn a day. If the price even holds 50, he'll make 10B over the course of the contest. I don't think the contest players will support that level of wealth transfer.

There is always somebody who can make tons of contest product, but it doesn't mean that all of his products will be bought.
And I think nobody will bought from the top players, because:
1. they sell contest product for a high price
2. then use this money to produce more contest product
3. then sell it to the system and win the contest.
So, they can win the contest with no loss. This is why players should bought from small companies.

Personally i have never seen that happening in R2 and feel that this allegation against the bigger contest product suppliers is absurd.

Pff IF the price holds, if someone can jump i nand make 20mil daily he will flood the market slightly and take the price down to say 46 each and then a few more will come down- eventually it will drop to maybe 30 each?

Yeah, the offers to buy are 20-25, and that gives great margins to producers.
