Being a billionaire so early in the game isn't to your advantage, it is actually never an advantage, you pay more for your expansion materials and everything takes longer/you produce less.
You are missing out on the advantage of lower levels this way.
And personally I think going to fast in the beginning doesn't add to the fun of gameplay.
I have nothing against buying coins, I do it myself sometimes too, but I noticed it takes away from your sense of achievement, at least it did for me.

Being a Billionaire
I can agree with you all the way, sally.
I haven't got even close to deciding what fields I want to specialise in. Clearly my theory of doing a little of everything REALLY REALLY REALLY will never work.
And even if I did decide what I wanted to do, I've spent about like, 12 million years waiting for expansions on one building, and all my money is just sitting there lifeless.
About the only thing I have really gained from this, which would have been impossible otherwise, was winning the Chemicals contest.
Thanks to Forwards Unlimited B.I.G. and her fantastic abilities (wherever she may be lol) I nearly lost that too.
Well, rest assured, I will not be selling coins any more, seeming as my bill came through for

Be your business advisor??
well in this forum you can find almost every answer before the question even occures to you, so my advice is to search this forum up side down and in and out and you will know most everything here is to know about this game.
Pay special attention to posts written by KNOLLS, in my opinion he is an expert when it comes to calculations and explaining stuff about this game, amongst others ofcourse, but I learned a lot from his posts.
Also you will find, going trough the forum, that there are many different opinions about specific ways of playing this game, there is not only 1 right way to do it.
And about the waiting...well you better get used to that,
sometimes I think that is the biggest part of the game, waiting and waiting and waiting..for expansions to finish, for productions to finish, for your contracts to be signed, for someone to get online, for your products in the shops and market to get sold and so on...
But it is worth it I think, it is a fun game.
This last contest I tried to compete without using coins, but in the end I had to sell the only 7 coins I had and sell a large building to keep up with you and I still couldn't make it to nr 1.
I guess especially for smaller companies it is almost impossible to get a medal without selling loads of coins, and bigger companies need to save up a lot of cash before entering a contest or also sell coins, but like I said before, the satisfaction using coins to win a contest isn't as great as winning on your own resources, I know this because I won gold in a contest where I sold coins.
Anyway, have a fun time playing the game and finding out things, and ofcourse if you have a question about something I will be happy to help you out if I can with my "fantastic abilities"..

contest
You have no idea what I had to do to pull out that last miracle.
I ended up selling 155 coins for the last 4mil chems I threw in.
that was in the last three minutes I think.
You should have won that contest, hands down. I practically stole it from you.
One things for sure, Next time I see you enter a contest, I'm staying the other end of kapilands. I don't want another debt like that again. lol
I'm still the little fish in a big pond. I'm trying to be the big boy and I'm soooo not ready.
It's people like you and urm... you... that make kapilands as enjoyable as it is. I love this place, I love this game, I love the people in it, and as for the admin, They're a never ending supply of support and joy.
I love all you guys, and I love all of this.

Re: contest
I think that would be better if you sold your coins to make money to buy big stores buildings, like Gaz Stations and Furniture Stores, and big production buildings as Joineries and Wells. Just my 2centsbogeyboy25 wrote:...

big buildings
I would say you're quite right tiger...
Everyone seems to be saying that gas and wardrobes are the 'in thing' for profit making right now...
It's surprising how many people here mainly supply materials for other companies, and don't actually supply many finished products for the kapilandians.
It's making me wonder where the finished products actually end up. There don't appear to be many who have shops, big enough to accomodate a lucrative profit.
I don't know. Am I missing something?

Many companies do both, sell materials to other companies and they also have shops.
Most companies start out to sell raw materials to others, and then when they have grown bigger they buy shops but also keep selling and buying products to/from other companies.
A shop gets more profitable once it gets expanded and is filled with ads, which is expensive, so you need cash for that, and since most smaller companies don't have much cash to spend yet
( in normal circumstances
) they make their money buy selling their products to bigger companies.
Like wood stones water oil gas etc.
As they grow bigger they start producing the more complicated products such as leather jackets and wardrobes,.
Also the quality of the products needs to be worked on, so when you are not that big yet you are always short of cash.
But the shops are there, don't worry, and thats where the products eventually end up,or else it would not make much sense to buy products at all now would it?

Is it possible to keep posts on topic anymore? Why don't you use the PM system to talk to each other. *Hint Hint*jinny1 wrote:and you get payed heaps????bogeyboy25 wrote:I'm just an 'idea man' for monte cristo and westwood.

As far as I can see the questions for this thread have already been answered awhile ago.
