Premium building expansion question

Hi all,

I have a question regarding expansion of buildings in premium slots.

Let say you expand those premium buildings for 3 months but your premium account ends after 1 month.

Will the buildings expand for 1 month then stop expansion for 2 months or will they expand for 3 months like normal?

Sorry for the noobish question
