One big building per product?

One big building per product?
When you get big, does it make sense to have just one building per product? Aside from the first 20 sqm, the cost of a given capacity is the same for one building as spread over several, right?
If so, why do you need even 60 buildings, never mind 100?

Edit: Multiple buildings are more efficient for expansion, since less capacity comes off line. Is is possible to delete this post?

The other reason, which is less obvious but potentially more important, is how you can be productive while expanding.
If you have one 200m building, and you want to double your capacity, you need to double it to 400m. That means your business will be closed for 60 hours.
On the other hand, if you have ten 20m buildings, and you want to double your capacity, you only need to grow each to 40m. That can be done in 6 hours.
So you get an extra 54 hours of profit by using extra slots. Consider that you spend more and more time expanding as you get bigger, and it's pretty obvious that many small buildings is better than one big one.

You know a year and a half I've been waiting for someone to say something about that. In my defense, putting in enough frames to make it smooth would waaay overload the load size limitation on signatures. And it wouldn't be right of me to break that rule, GoldenEye would have to smack me around a bit.
But that's just an excuse. What you really see is my mad Animation skillz.
