my advice is to start with plantations and produce wood.
u dont need high quality and u can sell it very good and very fast.
Also plantations are cheapest to build so fastest way to get to 60 buildings is to build plantaions

wood is good but stone sells just as well and if you want to become big you can build from there into steel as that is the real money maker at any quality

honestly, the best way togo is first build 1 power plant, then a well,(build any/all wells in yellow area) then build plantations, you save money, alot of money. when you make your own power, you can then make your own water, then you can make your own seeds, then you can make your own wood, saving you loads of money, and making the wood you produce only cost you about 10 caps each, and you can sell them for 70 caps each easily, so do this:

build power plant.
build well (in yellow area)
build plantations!!!,

i think you would be able to afford to build 2 plantations after making power plant & well. this is the easiest way to make money that i would choose for a new player.

p.s. wardrobes = pfft waste of time unless you make every single thing that it requires, right down to the water it takes to mine the iron/coal to make the steel plus the wood.. not a good item for beginers to invest in.

it depends on the realm you are in actually. but basically, for a beginner, raw materials (like stones, wood, power and water) are the best products. however, they are not as good as some other products when you grow a bit. when you do, make sure you invest a lot of money into research of some other profitable product (like gas, wardrobes, leather jackets etc.) as that is the key to making big profits in the long run.

a good thing to do if you want to see which product is more profitable is to look at the stats. if you see people supply for example 1 million gas and 500 tires, you would want to choose gas, because you can see no one sells tires simply because tires dont give decent profits.

What i did (and it worked out pretty well) is this:

Built 1 power plant, 1 well, 1 plantation and 1 mine, (and if i had any cash left over i built another mine) then i made stones in my mine and sold them on the market, and bough more mines and plantations. Once i had about 10 mines and 7plantations, i build a research rc for researching wardrobes and wood, once i had about Q 5 on both of those i built a joinery and a Furniture store. I Made the wood for my wardrobes, and made the power and water for the wood, and just bough Q8 steel form a company for 145cpas. Every time i had enuf money i would build more plantations until i had enuf to build another joinery, then i would build another Furniture store. once i got to 60 buildings, i sold the mines, sold some power plants and wells so i could build more plantations. I now have 1240m2 worth of plantations, 280m2 worth of joinery's, 2 Cattle & Plant RC's one at 580m2 and one at 720m2 (for wood), 2 Technical RC's 1 680m2 and one at 760m2 (for wardrobes) , and finally I have 2250m2 worth of Furniture stores
It was slow at first, but now i make Q11 wardrobes (now have a Q15 Steel suppler), make about about... 4.5 million a day, and have 43 million fixed assets

I really can't emphasis enough how good stones are for beginners. I came into Realm 1 about a year after it began (~7 months ago) and now I'm Top 200 in Fixed Assets. I haven't purchased any coins - all that money came from stones alone (well...plus a couple contest products like Minerals and currently, Iron Ore).

Stones will earn newcomers the most money by far.
