Q3 beer is an very interesting contest

I have Q4 research of beer before the contest
(divestment from beer market, upgraded to q6 for contest)
use Q4 corn from q6 seed (buy before) +q6 corn research (before contest)
and buy all remaining q4, q5 glass in the market when contest started

Alternative:
q8 corn + q6 beer + q0 glass = just short of q4 = q3 beer

The difficulty is, when I don't have enough q4 corn, q8 in the warehouse, my factories will give me useless q4 beer orz

I have all kinds of RC for the contest.
When I use up my glass stockpile, I will produce my own q2 glass
still get q3 from q4 corn

It's a very interesting contest but this time it lasts too long.

Now after two (out of a total of three) weeks the lack of supply has branched out to all products related. People are producing glass or chemicals and less gas, steel and plastic. Vast amounts of corn are being produced and not used in the cattle-breeding plant, so now there's hardly any leather or clothes made with leather on offer. The same goes for beef but somehow not lamb or pork. Buying corn on the market is way too expensive and even seeds as well cos making corn goes very quickly.

I heard you guys have very good reason n

There have been contests with mine productions, which has the same effect on production as a stone contest would. It's actually less extreme than most contests because you can always buy stone or power from the NPCs so the price is capped.

I agree 3 weeks is long for a contest. Dealing with the effects of contests is part of the game but this is a long time for somebody who uses these items for the money. It will be interesting to watch beer pricing in the "extra" week though.

Ok, I think the price of beer q3 will fall. What do you reckon we'll see? The price is a bit below 300 currently.

Well there is currently a fax who will buy for 600. So my advise: Buy all that 300 beer and sell on contract for 600 and make money for nothing!!

I think he means realm 2. The price is really, really low right now. You can buy for around 300 on the market and even less via contract. The price will probably drop even further because most people have already bought an enormous amount of beer, but producers continue to produce.

I think the price will drop considerably lower but there will be a very sharp spike at the end. Not at all sure though - this is new.

A long contest makes for much lower prices because it's worthwhile to build larger production facilities (more time to pay off). You also have time - large facilities take a lot of time to build.
