Proposal for kick out players!!!

Post by Guest » 06.03.2007, 17:19

I suggest that players who sell cheaper than produce to be excluded from this game. They dont calculate the cost of power and water or amortisment of buildings...
If you sell diamond at 37 - 10% = 33.3
At this price you recover the investment in Power plant, Well and mine in about 1 year.

When i start to play i dont count on finding so many stupid players!!!
Otherwise i would choose only selling buildings.

I have to agree, I just built a mine today :D:D

I noticed that even with power and water at 0.06, average market value, the price of diamonds on the market was WAY below my cost, which means people are not properly calculating.
I will create a post soon on transfer pricing.

Anyways, they're using their 0.02 water and 0.01 power to mine diamonds and selling them at stupid low prices, underpricing both their power and water, thinking they can produce at such wicked low prices.

Well guys, if you sold your water at 0.06 and power at 0.06, you'd be making lots more money.

BUT, we can't kick them out because of that. They're simply not considering every unit in their business as a seperate entity, no transfer pricing. Basically, their well and power plant isn't profitable at all, only their mine and even there, they're fighting others like them. Answer? Don't produce that good.

On this topic, a source of information on how much time you need to produce any given good as well as the cost of manufacturing would neutralize this problem! If this person knew that mining diamonds costs like 18$ plus 1000 power and 100 water, they'd of known not to build it for diamond procuding.

The real problem that pissed me off is: are many more players that struggle to sell around a very low price, so the market go down very fast and affect other goods.

Also the selling orders from game administrators are very big and very low. So market crash down and cannot sell water at 0.05 just to make quick money...
And many more examples!

well your water cost is not right water is the only odd ball in the game it cost .011 so there is a 3 point int he game :)

and you can report people that sell lower then what it takes to make at lest i think

Then game administrators must establish also a minimum price...
They have established a maximum price.

When a price go up and you wanna start to produce that good game administrators insert sell orders...

IT IS A FREE MARKET OR NOT?

The rules must be establish from start, not changed during the game!
Except when players ask for or vote for!!!

as soon as you put in a minimum price everyone becomes limited and it becomes unrealistic. if people chose to sell really cheap then they are either stupid, very rich, looking for quick cash or trying to free up some space

there are times when i have needed quick cash, and have sold power at .04 (when i make it at .03) because i had too much power, and not enough money to do what i wanted ... sure, it wasnt a GREAT idea, but it worked out in my favour at the time.
