It's really funny to read about a price agreement on the market, when you know at the same time, that there are some people, who sell there adv for 70

i said i can sell my ads for 84 on the market, but i cant cancel my contracts with my partner. i told them long before this thread, that i am gonna deliver them for between 72 and 75 per point. it wouldn't be fair to my partner. but over the market i keep the price up! i promiss!

it would be impossible to have a monopoly in this game for more than a short period. Sure, someone can drop their prices to barely above production cost to drive everyone else out of the market, but as soon as they raise their prices again, everyone else will storm in and start building it back up.

Also, about the power, it would be impossible to raise up the price of power without the demand going up. Most of the threads I've read tell everyone who is new to focus on oil, water, mines (in general) or power. If all the bigger companies started raising there prices up, the newer players would just take over the market selling their product at a cheaper cost. A better way to raise power prices would be to urge major power producers to invest into something else, that requires vast amounts of power, (steel, advertising, etc). Of course, no matter WHAT happens, the entire market is effecting itself, so if major power companies invested their power into advertising, the price for advertising would drop, but the price of power would rise, making more people shift from advertising to power, or some other market, thus dropping the price back down.

actually, this helps the new players get into ads. as they can sell for .82 ... might not be a good quality, but it helps them get money as well ...

Most new players shouldn't be producing advertisement right away anyways. With most people knowing the effects of it, alot of players only buy higher quality advertisement, so unless a new player has the money to build everything needed for advertisement AND researches quality, its pointless.[/quote]

I think in return all the steel producers will make a cartel and keep the price at 132!

Until the ads go down at least :D

In all reality, trying to keep a certain product at a certain price is an impossibility. In order for that to happen, someone would have to create a monopoly, and if you refer to my earlier post, you realize that this will not happen. If you guys all keep your price at 83, someones going to think to themselves "well, since they are all keeping their price at 83, i can lower mine to 82, and sell mine before ANY of them start to sell theirs" and some other guy will look at the market and think "hey, that guy is selling his at 82 and making alot of caps, maybe i could sell mine at 81.5" and he does that. and the market starts to collapse to a point so low that no one will want to sell it, because it makes no profit. In return, after a while of low profits, when so many people start to stop investing, people will start raising their prices again (less competition), causing more people to invest. To sum it up, you just have to watch the markets and wait for the perfect time to sell your inventory.

You can discuss the advertisement prices here... no prob. But do not mention the name of other companies. Especially when dealing with prices or anything like this.
