Recent contest

Well, I thought that contest was great! Adds real spice to the game - lots of last minute action on that one.
I spent millions on printers and didn't quite make the top 100!
Hope this is the start of a regular thing.
Thanks to all the mods for making it happen

My first contest and a very expensive one indeed. I got second though and I guess that's not bad for my first. Way too expensive though. No expanding for me any time soon. Congratz to all the winners and thanks to the mods.

I am really glad to see that you obviously liked the printers-contest.

Maybe I can create some more of these...

About the contest-prizes: They will be send out during the day... I have not send them up to now.
I will inform you when the prizes have been send.

I think the next contest should be power. I wouldn't mind sending power to "contest" for 2.00 caps

And, just to raise 2 issues here.

One is in R2 the participation rate is actually dropping. Q1 wood got 16x players, while Bread one got 14x, now printer got only 12x...

Second is I oppose the idea of using Q0 items for contest. I think some guys just open new account, sell steels and build factories straight away. Just guessing of course, no obvious evidence for this one.

I love the contest... I got me about 40-60 Coins... Though, i think Advanced Electrics is more happier... he made use of his E-factory that was a burden to him... lol... Was he lucky... or was this Contest to help him Gain Money... though, can't be a coincidence

Many could be like me.. have no idea the contest was on until today. Geez. Normally I would rely on people putting up faxes for contest items, but there are none this time around.. sad

could have easily made it to the top 20..

My opinion is that participation rate is dropping because there are less people producing bread than wood and less producing printers than bread.

Amounts of buildings:

Plantation 95859 (wood)
Food factory 2230 (bread)
Electronic factory 1929 (printers)

It is better to keep contests with Q0, especially if you want better participation rate.

participation is different for different players. some just produce, some just buy and others do both. some decide that this contest doesn't suit me at this time. i decide what i'll do close to the finish time and where i think i'll place (if i will place) strongly sways my decision to enter, sell or enter some goods and sell the rest. (i entered the contest on R2, but gave it a complete miss on R1).

this contest was a short one

i just hope everything works now so that contests can again become a more regular occurence.

I have something to say about the contest:
Ya, of course, its so great to have them back, but, and here is a big but, this contest was not a good one.
The reason is very simple:
There are 2 things good about contests:
1. Rich and high rank players can have some fun
2. Low rank players have a great great chance to make lots of money.
I dont know about you people, but I dont know many new players that produce printers.
Think about that please in next contest.

yes flamesweet but one bad thing was the prices went up to 12000 per printer, that could have been a turnoff to many
