Auction is for an Afghanistan - 250 points of score.

Starting bid: 500M
Increments: 5M+

I normally wouldn't be selling one of my status symbols, but am in need of money.

Auction CLOSED!

[EDIT by GoldenEye: Please check the auction rules.
11. Closing an auction
Only moderators can close auctions. They will close them a) after the end date, b) if massive spam is in the thread or c) when the seller decides to close it - but this can only be done as long as nobody has given a bid before! There have been biddings before. So this auctions goes on until [2008-06-01|23:59].]

Why not? You can in any auction in real life, ebay, or any other auction event. I don't see why not? This is a game, a player should be able to say hes closing the auction. You have a little to much power. Its my item, I can do what I want with it. Why does a mod suddenly have full control of my item? I am the owner, the mod isn't.

Why then you started auction when you closed it after 2 days? When you are playing acording to rules, then auction is still valid and I am actual winer with highest bid.

If this is only a joke or false topic, lowering your fixed asset by 10% will be good punishment for what are you doing  Told by other word you are cheating

"Why not?" you ask ...
because here you are not in real life, ebay, or "any other auction event"
you are indeed playing a game, with clear rules which you cant change

This is the forum not the game. If I were to sign a contract or agree to something entailing that I no longer own my item when its up for auction, then I guess I wouldn't be closing it early. But thats not how it works and thats a good thing. All online games and games in general are constantly changing their rules. Atleast games that cater to their players and reality.
Remember I own this item in game, this item is not owned in the forum and/or owned by a moderator on the forum. Stuff like this help improve rules and bring along change. Evidentally this forum doesn't want change and I'm not sure this game does either.

although on the other hand, like in real world, if people see you didnt play along with rules, they will no longer make business with you :P

Your giving the forum to much bearing on the actual game.

In the real world, you can close an auction when you feel like it :')
Common sense should prevail.
