Since I did not see a real way into which in-game products were classified, I decided to actually make one myself. It gives more order to the game. Through 2 days of hard work, I came up with my own method of classification.
I'll divide this introduction to production into 3 main ways to produce. Some players do one of them, more than one, or even all at the same time.
Production Types
*NPC = Non-Player CharacterBasic Production (power, water, stones)
Examples:
Power (kWh) is gotten from Power Plants at a very small fee (0.01caps/power in green area, 0.03 in red area). no other elements are necessary.
Water is produced in a Well also for a very small fee (0.02caps in green) and only 0.1kWh is needed as an element for it.
Stones are made in a Mine for a small fee, 5kWh Power, and 1 Liter of Water.
*Similarities between basic products:
-always have the quality of 0
-sold directly to another person (not to NPCs through shops)
-require a very small production line (you just need 0-2 elements for their creation)
(although stones have more elements than the rest, it is also considered a basic product because it's still at the bottom of the production chain with the quality of 0 only)
Some players take part into the making of basic goods. They do not require much previous knowledge on aspects of the game, since one does not have to worry about their never-changing quality level or about buying any other previous product for their creation. Other companies will gladly buy them quickly if priced right due to their need from all companies alike. Think of it as the first step in a pyramid, every other step on the pyramid holds itself thanks to the first one. All products are created thanks to the basic products on the bottom of the pyramid and, therefore, they are irreplaceable.
Because of its high demand, low risk of failure to sell them for profit, and the simplicity of just making a product out of nothing else (really almost nothing - a few caps and 1-2 basic elements sometimes) basic production is a favorite among the new players.
* used for: creation of other items, expansion of buildings
* personal success: you provide something everyone else needs
* personal downturn: there are many "competitors" in the basic production industry, you'll be one of the many until you expand your company and become a big-time supplier
* my personal experience: easy, a good start for anyone, little startup cost needed. But, it gets boring due to the fact that it'll always be the same product of the same quality sold for a similar price (unless there's a market clash)Secondary Production (Oil, seeds, quartz...) (corn, plastic, E-components...) the real list is much longer, i just gave VERY few examples
As you can see, I divided this section into two examples. This states a subdivision between two types of secondary products.First-Hand Secondary Products (oil, seeds, quartz...)
First-Hand Secondary Products are made directly from basic products and are mostly taken from the ground to be then taken into industrial facilities for more production.
For oil, its elements are 100 kWh and it is produced by an oil well..
For seeds, 1 Liter Water is spent for them at a plantation.
Their qualities can only be determined by their researches at their respective research centers.
