I don't know where to look to understand when a contest starts and ends.
Where can I see it???

Product: Minerals Quality: 2 Price: 2

it is published at the newspaper.
also you can see that if you go to statistics - contest.

In game go to the Stats page. In the bottom left-hand corner there is a section of Toplists. One of those Toplist is called Contest. There you can see how is leading at the moment, what product is needed and how long until the contest ends.

As to knowing when new contest start, just read the newspaper as they let you know about new contests when it starts.

The current contest was announced on the second page of the newspaper. I didn't realize that there was a second page until a couple of days ago. At the bottom of the first page is a "next" link.

I have a question regarding contest. in the how to get coins explaination, it says that by winning contest, we can receive coins. however, in the rewards list, they only say gold medal,silver medal, and bla3..

so do we really receive coins after winning in contest?

if we do receive coins, how many coins will we receive?

The prices are listed in every KapiTimes if there is a contest

The prizes for the contest are as follows:

1. rank --> Gold medal
2. rank --> Silver medal
3. rank --> Bronze medal
4. rank --> 5 contest certificates
5. rank --> 4 contest certificates
6. - 10. rank --> 3 contest certificates
11. - 20. rank --> 2 contest certificates
21. - 100. rank --> 1 contest certificate

The Prices give score ( points )

The score is as follows:

Gold medal --> 300 points
Silver medal --> 200 points
Bronze medal --> 100 points
contest certificate --> 10 points

Contest winners will receive Coins. These contests will be announced in the KapiTimes (newspaper).

You can also win Coins by taking part at lotteries and quizzes. These will be announced in the KapiTimes (newspaper) or on our boards.

Im not sure if the information is just outdated, but if you could get coins, it will say so in the contest description, otherwise not.

And once the KapiTimes is running properly, the quizzes and lotteries might return too.

You will get a contract a few days after the contest has ended and you do not need any special building to store the certificates or medals, you can see it in your warehouse under Status-store, if you did not receive your price 4 days after the contest ended, post in This Thread.

Last,
and maybe most idiot, question on the contests....

If I get in the first places, i get medals and coins.
But if i arrive in the let say 80th place, i'll get just a Contest Certificate.

What can I do with it? Should I try to get it?

Let say pratically.
I'm in the world2, I'm little, I have about 3M assets, and I have the possibility to place in the next context, because I have a 60mq food industry, and looks like most people that did the one on the wood, didn't partecipate in this, to save some money probably or to avoid to occupy the farms or other, because you should do corn, then flour, then bread.

Let say in the next 3 days I will do 5K breads, that if i look nowaday classification, I would be 2

personally i will try to get a certificate and sell the rest at the market or someone interested.
i built the food factories just for the contest and i will try to earn some money of it.
i dont know if it is worth selling a contest certificate, i wouldnt sell it for nothing.
