Can an admin/mod make a sticky thread explaining that before making a post, new players should read the existing posts to see if their question has already been answered?

I am seeing lots of new topics that have akredy been answered, it would save time and effort and look less cluttered if people would read before they post a question.

Yes, you are right and I also thought about this.
But, I am also now trying to find the best solution for this.
Either to make stickies with the most important issues or at least to adapt the titles of the threads. It is difficult for new-comers to find posts with titles like: "just one question" or sth like that.

Therefore: working on that... changes will come soon ;-)

I'm thinking, maybe you could make a stickied thread that contains the frequently asked questions and the corresponding answers. You could name its FAQs. Please read first before posting your questions.

EDIT:

You can also state at the beginning of the post to read through the following questions to check if their questions have been answered already but if they find it still confusing, they can post it.

Yes an faq sounds best. We just people to come up with a list of topics that need to be addressed, then members to state which topics they will wruite about.

I dont mind writing about one topic :)

Ok... I will begin with that FAQ forum today.
I will begin to post threads there, by and by... not too fast  as there are some more issues I have to work on. I won't have an order in this for the time being. Just entering ready articles. So don't be astonished if you miss an important issue and see another one which is less important for you.

To all of you who offered their help: Great! Thanks again! I am just making a list with topics we should talk about and will get into touch with you.

And: I thought it would be good, if we move some threads from the questions board to that FAQ forum. It would be helpful for newbies to see how you discussed some matters here.... better than writing just an article about that. But I will mark these threads...

And I think we should lock that forum. That's just because otherwise we will have the same like here, meaning another "Questions and beginners" sub-forum. But we will mark all articles written by a user and give the respective names in it....

One thing i have looked for but unable to find is a list of things you can make, and whats required to make them. It would make getting into a new market cheaper and easier for a noob, such as my self, that doesnt have millions to toss around...

There is a help file in the game, that gives you all these information. Just click it in the upper right corner.

Also in the forum under 'Announcements' then 'Kapitools' which is the first sticky. That one may be helpful in the FAQ or Beginner Help area.
