Toys

Post by Guest » 19.03.2008, 20:25

I have been doing some research because it seems POWERBANK already has complete control of the power market on realm 2. Just browsing the statistics I saw there was a massive demand for toys that was not being met. Is there any reason for this?

I did a quick check of the cost to produce the toys from just buying things straight from the market and it comes to around 314.5 per toy, unfortunately there is no way to check how much toys will sell for in the toy shops.

Anyone have personal experience with the toy market and anyone with ideas as to why no one has taken control?

The statistics will give you an idea about the price you can achieve in the shops. Stats price for toys in Germany is 130. I didn

it's quite sad to see that even the mods agree that there are some product lines in game that will never be profitable :(

Quite honestly, aside from some economic morons actually selling toys in stores, technically, noone should do it. In reality, if there actually IS a demand but NO supply whatsoever, the price would skyrocket, thus making it more profitable, enticing companies to produce toys, thus increasing the supply until the point where the supply fully needs the demand at a decent price.

So far for the undergrad business degree :)

It seems though, that the game is done differently as in there is a somewhat fixed price range per product (maybe to ensure it is not abused or cheated around) thus keeping some products just completely out of question.

True, this is a big flaw in the game. If there is high demand for something of which there is no supply of people would be willing to pay more... there would be no limit to what they would pay.

Normally I would agree. An extremely high demand when there is almost no supply should result in a very fast sale in the shops. But... Would you pay 500 EUR (or 800 US Dollar) for a stuffed animal? I don

ooops - sorry. but i decide to stop buying all kind of toys at easter-monday.

i spend ~ 5 billion caps, i think a lot of more, to feed the kindergarten.

but now its enough. some greedy guys sell their stuff at incredible prices. some noobs produce q1 and sell at 500 caps to market. i explained them something, no response. :?

better, i expand my buildings or buy some status symbols. :D
