Gas prices on R2 gone crazy?

Post by Guest » 05.03.2008, 03:34

I was extremely surprised today to find gas prices in stores have droped by more than 15% from one day to the next?

What happened? Did they find a huge oil reserve under Europe?

But to be serious. I don't know who ruined the prices there, but this will hurt a LOT of people on R2...

i totally agree with you! i noticed huge increase in selling time at gas stations! yesterday i was able to sell same quantity of gasoline almost 40% faster then i'm able today. I know that general price changes every day but todays change was enormous! As recently gas market price rised, selling gasoline is changing into low-profit industry!

It seems like they adjusted the Demand, and due to that change the supply is over 50% of the demand, and thus a price drop is noticable due to the high supply.

Which quite honestly would be nice to know beforehand (assuming it is a bug).

well maybe one of the big fish finished huge expansion yesterday and that is why the demand went high

It's not the supply that changed significantly. Which could be explained by a big company having increased their capacities substantially. It is the demand that drastically went down. Which is a number calculated by the game.

I would understand a supply jump and consequently lower prices, but a drop in demand cannot be explained other than a change in game mechanics.

That's what I would like to know beforehand.

Well we probably have to wait till tomorrow to see - maybe everything will be back to normal. If not, maybe admins have to be contacted :>
