Ranks

Post by Guest » 21.02.2008, 16:19

I propose to create one more rank.

Currently exists rank of player (manager, entrepreneur etc.)

I suggest to create rank of company for example corporation, project etc.

Honestly i always thought that there are enough ranks here on kapilands - well maybe even too many.

So in my oppinion there is no need to create any more ranks :)

I mean levels of company (like of player it's Entrepreneur :P) not rank in stats.

Rotfl but company should be ranked too :) For example why small businesses (ex. in Poland) are called almost always "Project" and giant are Corporations, Holdings itp? Not only because of they are large, but they generate great income. For example Holdings are made for generating MORE money:) Of course i don't mean that in Kapilands if business is larger that it generate income automatically, but this rank can satisfy more players.

I see what you're saying. The ranks that exist now all apply to the player, not the business.

To be honest, I think it's conversationally easier this way. I can say "I am a Tycoon" and it's clear enough what I mean. But the other way I would have to say "My company is a Company" and that just sounds silly, no?

Urm, no i didn't mean that company should be called... company, but for example corporation etc. If more a company is worth, the rank is higher

Ah, farmboy, don't tell me that company may be businessman :)

You know, Manager is rank for player, not his company :) I think it could look like:

Power Enterprise
Player Level: Entrepreneur
Company Level: Enterprises

etc ;)

But that doesn't do anything. And I stand by my earlier point: you're Power Enterprise. So your business is an Enterprise whenever you want. Ditto if you want to see your business as a corporation, or LLC, or Gmbh, or what have you. To give a (changing) title just makes for a stranger conversation:

"My company is Power Corporation. I'm not a corporation, but I hope to be for a little while some day. In the meantime, the Power Corporation company is an Enterprise."

I can see why you'd like it, and if you want to simulate that effect you can just change your name as you grow. (Making sure to tell your contract partners of course.) But I don't see any benefit in bringing this system to everyone.

From my point, there really is no need for this either.

As Knolls states, people who decide to be enterprises, corporations, or limited societies, can choose to be so from the very start. (as i have)

To set another counter, some people start with a name they really do like... let's say "Unlimited Limited"... now replace 'limited' with 'corporation' to its end or any other name such as 'enterprises'.

It just doesn't sound the same... no longer has the rhyming phonetics. I just lost my perfect company name which I spent days thinking of.
