Is there any need to expand a special building and can you hire more people?

Hi

You can expand on the special buildings to start other challenges on certain buildings, but it will take 20m2 for every 1 person...

Also expansion of special buildings are very expensive. So some people will actually just expand their special buildings just to use up money that they really want to spend but can't find anything to spend it on.
