Well, yes and no. "Feed" is also used for animal food - so it is correct; In Wikipedia it says:
So it is correct, though I am honestly unsure if "food" wouldn't be more commonly used anyway. Any comments from a native speaker on this?
Animal feed may refer to:
* Compound Feed, Pelleted feed produced in a feed mill
* Fodder, food given to domestic livestock, including plants cut and carried to them
* Forage, growing plants eaten by domestic livestock
So it is correct, though I am honestly unsure if "food" wouldn't be more commonly used anyway. Any comments from a native speaker on this?
