My warehouse has 2000 q0 wood, 2000 q1 wood, and 2000 q2 wood. However, i need 2300 q0 for an expansion. Why can't I do this?

Because you need all of the same Q per building, per upgrade.

But you can upgrade 2 buildings, one with Q1, and one with Q0 (and instead of burning 2300 wood on upgrading one, upgrade two of the same buildings using 1150 wood on each).

If your 2300 wood are for example, for 100m

I believe you need 50 wood per expansion...You could expand 20 m2 and then use 300 for the next 6m2...

If you dont want to do that...It would be easier to buy 300 wood off the market.

I understand, just doesn't make much sense. Why would I need to do something like this? a road bump into the game.

I think that should be obvious
the game does not make sense that way, if you were really building a building you could use two different qualities of wood but still the answer to your question is one that is so obvious you might as well not have even asked it.
