Whenever you visit your shop that is actively selling goods, you receive payment for goods already sold.
Can such a thing be possible for production orders as well, i.e. visiting your factory, and receiving the goods already completed? Unless there is a specific reason as to why we can't do that, it would certainly make life easier for all of us.

if u are using Q0 products, u can stop the production at any time and receive the items produced, then start production up again for the amount remaining (say u were making 500, stopped production and recieved 350 - u could create 150 units and production would go on like u didnt stop it - no penalty)
later however, cancelling will return ur higher quality items to 0. but with no extra cost. hope that helps some.
