Need some inputs on furniture market

Post by Guest » 13.09.2007, 18:09

Hi
I just started yet another project with a joinery and furniture store.
Got a few questions tho:

What exactly brings quality up on a furniture, the quality on raw material i asume?

Is the reselling in own stores thing worth it? I have had a grocery from start and i dont really can say i get alot of profit from it (got alot of advertisments on it aswell).

Should i change here and now and not bother with furnitures?

Thanks in advance

Furniture, at least wardrobes can be very profitable, but you have to have really high reasearch to add value in your joinery. You have to have at least some q16 to assemble wardrobes of higher value than the value of raw materials used. I guess the same goes for other furniture stuff.

If you don't have high research level you will be better off by simply producing raw materials, especially wood.

Furniture store gives nice profits if you set the price correct (some 45h turnover of full rack of full-ads store). But you have to secure a source of reasonably priced input ;)

A good way to get into furniture is is stages:

Start by making the inputs, and raising their quality. (Example: Wood or Steel)

After that gets going, start investing in furniture research. (Example: 100k wood production at Q10 or/or 50k steel at Q10 as a good mark as to when to build a Technical RC)

Only once you have enough research to be worth the trouble, finally build some joineries. (Example: Q20 Wardrobe research + Q10 Wood + Q10 Steel = Q10 Wardrobes)

my advice is don't bother,
especially with the price of wood these days you are losing money just by turning it into furniture rather than selling it straight out on the market.
I've made a killing selling wood recently, even though it means neglecting my other goods.

Good products are;
Pullovers, leather jackets,
Perfume,
Motorbikes,
Gas and TV's

I've tried them all now and currently tinkering with jewelry but not too sure about that yet. so stick with the big money if you want to earn fast cash.
