I appriciate the fact that there is another expierenced moderator .
But still , If you lock a threat , please mention an EXACT motivation...
something like : " Due tp the fact that this topic does not follow rule 3 "
INSTEAD OF : " YOU guys should read the rules "

Or if you want to keep the agressivity (sp? )

" its violating rule 3 , please read it ! "

I've Seen 2 topics locked by you , and i'm having a hard time trying to understand...

What's wrong with expecting people to read the rules before they post, and then to follow them? I'm sick and tired of all the hand holding. Most of the forum sections have sticky posts at the top of them, which apparently are too difficult for people to comprehend.

The worst place is Auctions, IMO. Not only is there the sticky that lays out the rules and format that the title needs to take, but all of the other titles in that forum have a very similar look to them. Then someone comes along and titles their thread "Product - Q - Qty" or something similarly vague. They should not be surprised when their thread is locked because they can't read.

If you just tell them "you missed rule #3", that's the only one that they'll look at, and likely will ignore everything else. Point them to the entire set of rules, and hopefully they won't run into trouble in the future.

Thanks. :D

Well... davidfranses, you are the sixth person asking me to do so since I became moderator in this forum.
But you are the only one who opens a thread about this... a thread that I might eventually not read because I take care mostly of the trade sections (which becomes clear when you have a look at Tycoon's announcement... ;) ).
Do I have to understand YOUR motivation? Do you want to keep aggressivity? ;)
Maybe you hope to get support from other members when you open a thread about the "bad" moderators. But don't worry: I certainly would read a PM. ;)

Ah... before I forget: I sometimes have a hard time to understand others as well. So maybe you understand my "feelings" about this. :D

@ racingtigger:
Thank you for explaining my intention.
And additionally: As long as there are several threads per day that I have to lock because they don't fit the rules I can't manage to find time to give a more concrete reason... Sorry.

Regards
GoldenEye

thank you!

If one of your threads is closed, you read the rules... and still do not understand why it is locked: feel free to contact the respective mod... we don't have a problem with it....

And now: I will lock this thread... I do not want to have a thread dealing with one single person in this forum; neither a user nor a mod etc.... ;-) such threads easily can be misunderstood...
