chickens production

I am using Q0 corn at averge price 2.8c each producing some Q0 chickens
THe chickens I produced have a production cost of 15c each!!!!

IS there something wrong, I am selling them at 12c each you see,
would it be better if i produce my own corn instead?

If you would use your own corn instead, it would be better to sell the corn and not make chickens. Gives you more profit.
Otherwise you need to buy the corn cheaper and sell the chickens for a higher price.

well, what product would you suggest other than chickens??
People say cattle is not a good choice as people sell their cattle below cost

As far as I have calculated, the best business for startups is wood business. You buy power, water and q0 seeds from the market (don't produce yourself you make more money by buying them from the market). Each plantation pays itself off in about 6-7 days, no other business offers such return on investment. You could also try producing stone, you make more money per hour per building slot, but return on investment is better with wood. All the text above counts for not expanded buildings, once you start expanding, the ROI changes. How exactly that's for you to figure out.

One reason for the existing of the contest is, to reduce the cash in kapilands. Since electronics are very expensive, it may be too early for such a contest, because there is not so many cash in kapilands right now.

But just be patient. It will come...
