I don't think it's cheating because if somebody wants to sell me something cheap, he would do it by contract >> on the market, EVERYBODY can buy it...
I ask this because i just saw a car for 100; wich is way too cheap

that's true, but i would be more logical if it was the other way that the other one sells something very expensive.... because if you put a car on the market for 100 you're never sure who buys it... + then why would you do it by contract ?Klasanov wrote:Still it is cheating.

From memory of the other thread, if a seller sells anything below his warehouse cost and current market price, the account will be deleted after the second or third strike.the car was sold within 5 seconds, just as other cheap offers; it isn't the buyers fault that sellers sell their ware too cheap
Buyers should stay clear of this sellers, as you may be accused of being apart of their 'cheater ring'.

When I've seen these offers, I usually try to discern if it's unreasonably low because they're trying to transfer wealth between two accounts, or if they just didn't know any better. If it's the latter, I usually buy it, send them a note explaining and offering to contract back at cost.
In those cases, the 3 results of no answer, "yes thank you", and "that's ok, keep it" are about equally distributed.
In the cases when they don't want it back, then if it was below cost I turn it in. If it was above cost but not what it could have been, then it's my profit.
But to answer the question which I know will keep coming up: if someone is trying to cheat between two accounts, and you intercede, that's not ok. Think of it as receiving stolen goods if you like. Or simply the fact that we can't prove you weren't behind the deal. All the reconds show is that you bought something at a price which no sensible person would charge, and that makes you guilty.

i mean... If it's really a way of cheating, why shouldn't you interrupt it that way? I know it isn't perfect, but neither is the rest of the world. Do you know how happy someone of a small company gets when he can buy a car for a stupid low price like that and resell it with some profit which means nothing to bigger companies?
If everyone sabotages it like that, eventually it will also stop i guess. But i hope (i don't know this game very well (i have a feeling someone is going to quote that)) that when it happens through contracts, the game will be able to detect these companies and ban them.

Long time ago i produced about 0.5 mln. of power and i wanted to place it in the market for 0.08 caps.... i could get from it about 50k caps profit. But i typed 0.8... and i payed 10 % witch was about 50k... and my power in the market will be for ages So, this mistake made me less than 0 profit. Then i enter into market, i always see power or water prices like 0.8 or 0.9. To place 0.5 ml. power for such price is not so bad, but if you place 10 or 30 mln., oh its very hurts....
It was another situation. I wanted to sell my chemicals to another company. I entered my price and i send that contract. But then it was accepted i saw, that i sold these chemicals for 0 caps each.... And i reallised that i entered price not for company field, but for market field.... This company returned my stuff for 0 caps each then i said it was a mistake.
So, sometimes it looks like a cheating, but it not always is cheating

Sometimes I play kapiland when I'm running late to get something else in RL done. I also want to get that expansion started so when I come back from RL it will have finished.
I need more caps and I just visited my stores, so I goto my warehouse very quickly (the phone starts ringing), I type in the number of cars to sell (this is imaginary because I don't produce cars, but just for the story), then enter the price,,,
I should say wrong price.
Realizing I just put a car on the market for 100 caps instead of 100,000 caps, I race to the market screen (don't worry about the phone, someone else got it) and see my car is still there,,, so I buy it back. Phew!
Mistakes happen and it is nice to be quick enough to realize when you're making one. Mistakes cost a lot if you are too slow on the uptake. Mistakes can be reduced if you deny the existence of RL around your computer. I choose to accept my mistakes as part of the game and suffer for my lack of forethought . RL is also like this. I choose to accept that RL is more important than getting stressed over a game.
I gotta go get that phone, it's for me
