Combined research - new administrative building?

I was thinking it would be nice to be able to have lets say 4 x 500m2 RC research something like a 1 x 2000m2 RC.

Maybe you could have a new administrative building for this. Or make it an "ability" made possible at a certain level.

This has been proposed and shot down atlest 4 times for multiple reasons. Knolls even wrote a good joke for it il get the links later
