car dealer

Post by Guest » 17.07.2007, 03:54

i've bought 1 unit of car at market 2 days ago for 50,000.
i accept it in less than 1 minute because i thought it's really cheap.
i've seen someone else offer car for 80,000 on forum and market average price is about 100k.

then i build a car dealer.
i put 5100 point of advertisements on that shop.
i try to sell that car for 240,000 and i think it's reasonable price because i've been told by my fruit customer he sell 1 million fruit at grocery for 10 everyday and i supply him fruit for 3 and average price for fruit is 3 too.

after i put that car for 240k at car dealer, i saw a message "There is no buyer for this ware. Probably your price is too high."

i decrease my price, again and again, until it reach 80,000 but no luck.. still no one is buying my car

what is a mistake did i do?
is it my price really too high? should i reduce my price? or did it because i only have 2 employees? should i expand my car dealer first before trying to sell it again?

i really confuse.. this is my first time to sell products to NPC.
please someone help me and thanks for helping and reply ^^

Your Car dealer is in the Red zone, right? If not I doubt you will be able to sell it for a profit. If it is then something is up as I had a time of 80 hours to sell one car Q0 in a small car dealer with no advertisement.

nope.. my car dealer is in Mauritania

so i will not get any profit if i sell it at green?
any suggestion? should i sell my car dealer building and build a new car dealer in red?

Cars are currently useless, they cost to much to make even with your own steel, theres almost no market buyers to, stay out of it untill price drop dramaticly. Il edit this later and be more complete

Am I Doomed?

Post by Guest » 18.07.2007, 03:20

Both of you aren't really doomed yet, it depends on the max price for your countries,e.g the max price for apple juice in Mali is 12c, I know this because I've been sell juice for over 20c for the last week. But it took two weeks to increase the starting price of 4c to that, all the while taking a hit on my sales(I started by selling some units at 8c to raise the average). So it may take a while but you can turn an extremely small profit(mines like 0.01% a day) on these mistakes, although you would be better off staying away from selling in the green and yellow zones.

Hi,

a Car-Dealer only makes sense in the red area, because there is the max. stats price at 150,000
