I have a question as to whether or not you can have multiple research building types.
So, assuming that you CAN have say 2-3 Mining reasearch buildings...is research shared between the buildings?
So, say I have Oil completed on building 1 at q12
will I be able to see that same completed research in building 2?
so building 2 can work gold?
So assuming yes, to the above.....If I sell building 2, will the research still be available in building 1 as well?
I want to try to maximize research but not cut my foor off by selling a needed building afterward.

You can have two buildings of the same type both researching, but not the same product.
That is to say, you wouldn't want them to research the same product. They could both research from 1 -> 2 at the same time, then from 2->3. But neither can start on q3 research until q2 is finished.
And then the research is completely separate from the building. You can sell the research and keep the building or vice-versa. (Though note you can't sell research, or sell buildings to other players, until Manager level.) This means if you get your oil to q12 on one buliding, either building could start the 12->13 research. You could even destroy that building, build a new one, and start the 12->13 research there.
