So I want to build a well, so I can complete my own private production line. Now before I go and screw up again I want to know; does operating and using the well require power? Or can I just use it and get water?
Thanks guys

Yes, but not a lot. 1 power per 10 water.

Geez that gets annoying. Always another step lol. So what does it cost to operate a power plant?

It depends on the market price of power.
Right now, green is better.
If the price reaches .13, red is better.

You are on the right track. At .13, Green still has a better ROI as a single building without any expansion.
At .13, Red starts making more profit per 20m2. Also, Red is then better for expansion.

I hope you don't actually mean that.

By the way: A general guideline for power is 0.11, not 0.13.
But: Wasn't the topic about wells and not about powerplants?

Both, I wanted to expand to cover my production line completely by myself, so since Wells require Power, Powerplants come into the equation as well.
