Apples, Cotton, or Oil?
My apple plantation slowly became a apple, cotton, power and oil business after using my idling production buildings. I'm getting to the point where I can buy another plantation/well. But what to choose? I can make alot of money with oil and cotton, but are they stable? Perhaps I should expand? I don't know, I have alot of possiblities and I need help on what would be the most effective addition to my company.
I would say, almost by definition, that higher profit products are less stable.
But they're unlikely to bottom out either. There are numerous people (including me) who have offers to buy as many of those goods as you're willing to sell and they provide stability.
Now prices do change, as offers on Stones have recently dropped from as high as 14 to as low as 8.50. (And they've been below 8 in the past). But knowing that there are a lot of buyers does mean you're not likely to be stuck with a whole bunch of product you can't sell. As opposed to Apples, where I'm not sure there are enough customers to always be assured of a buyer.

Stones, steel, wood, plastic, water and power are the fast sellers.
Of course it doesn't' really do you much good if you can sell it in 5 minutes but it takes you 10 hours to make, if you can make a more valued product that sells slower that fewer players are competing for.
But steel always brings high profit.
but to answer your question,
not apples,
Cotton is a good seller, so is power and oil.
Best to turn the oil into gas and sell it yourself.
