Have you got a power plant yet? Money at the start is hard to come buy. Power is easy to make and sell on the market and sell through contracts.

A mine is the best building of all but only if you build it in the yellow. Everyone needs stone.

Steel is the most important product of all because you need it to build new buildings as well as expand existing ones. Steel is expensive.

Wood is ok to grow but think about buying seeds instead of making your own. High quality wood gets a better price, but you only need quality 0 wood to expand with.

If you have some time on your hands and you want to succeed in kapiland, read the Help pages, Stats pages (specially Supply & Demand and Quality & Prices). Read the newspaper Kapitimes. Keep reading the Forum, it's the best way to learn what's going on.

While you are learning the ropes, you might make a mistake or two. Don't be afraid to restart and do the tutorial again. I'm 99% sure all players have restarted at least once. I restarted 3 time and I think I should have made it 4 or 5, but whatever happens with your company, make sure you have fun. :)

Oh and another good tip. First up, buy a factory and see what it takes to make steel. Restart if/when you run out of money. Buying a factory is a big step but getting one will give you some valuable insight into what kapilife is all about.

Buying new buildings is better than expanding buildings you already have.
