127 would fit with a 1 byte signed value, while 255 would fit with a 1 byte unsigned value.

And since you don't have negative quality, I think changing it shouldn't be the world, but don't take me too high on that, as I don't know how the system works.

I will confirm this. You CAN use Q128 and higher research in your production buildings. However, you need to use your Admin building to do so. Just type in some high number like 199, or 255, in the Admin building quality and start production.

Sorry Azer, but doesn't work, the maximum quality in the buildings still is 127, even if you type 199 on admin building

I'm not sure if you checked it right, you have level 128 golden watches
so you need q0 gold, power and glass and if you produce q32 watches it does work, if you produce q31 watches it doesn't work, and highest level is still 127
