Steegio Business from Holland

Post by Guest » 15.02.2010, 15:45

Hello guys,

Here is someone who comes from The Netherlands and who cannot speak and write very good Enlish. But I like to trade and communicate with people from countries that are far away :)

Are here somebody who comes from Holland or who talks some Dutch?

Volgens mij ben ik hier in m'n eentje als Nederlander of is dat niet zo?! Als je ook op Nederlands kapilands speelt of gewoon Nederlands kunt wil je dan ff een berichtje sturen?

Translation: I think I'm only a Dutchman or isn't it? If you play on the Dutch kapilands as well or talked dutch, can you send me a message?

I play on the Dutch kapilands as well and there I trade in buildings.. (I don't know if here also be buildings-traders..?)
Here I produce Stones and if I have more money I go also trade in buildings!

I wish you a lot of succes when you talked with me because sometimes my English are quiet bad

Greats, Leen-Jan de Steeg

I'm Dutch, there's several Dutch people on this server. :)
Jan1666, Sally, Greed, Vannuland Verhuur, and various others.

This is actually an "international" version of the game, and people from various countries play this one even if they have their own version of Kapilands as well.
I personally prefer the .com version over the .nl version of this game

er is trouwens 1 regel: als je een nederlandse zin schrijft, moet je ook de engelse vertaling erbij doen, zodat de administrators ook weten wat je zei ;)

translated: BTW, there's a rule that if you write something in a foreign language, you have to add the English translation as well, so the admins know what you've been saying. ;)

sally and greed are Dutch!! Never knew that, also I think Goldeneye is dutch because I think I remmber jan saying he was related to Goldneye but that was a long time ago and my memory is bad. There are a lot of people that are dutch here but not all of them are very active here (except the ones mentioned by VerCon and himself) as they have such bad english but hope you still post as there are so many different people of so many different first languages that we dont mind bad English.
There are a few people who trade buildings, I used to be one as well, but they seem to have died away recently. What Realm are you on though?

PS: I am not Dutch.

I'm actually positive that GoldenEye isn't Dutch :P
He does share the GMT+1 (Servertime) Timezone as far as I know.

and as for bad english: We see more of that around here, we've learned to read around that by now, so don't worry. :D

I've gone on a Dutch date before. Which means the girl and I pay for our own food and movie. lol Dunno if that is how your culture works. But I have heard the crime is really high there. (no pun intended)

Oddly enough, I know many Dutch from chat rooms as well. I even speak to a friend through Skype who goes by the name Wouter (pronounced Voo - ter). He built a hovercraft in his attic, then had a crane remove his roof, then took the hovercraft out. He's been taking it out on the ice on some lake in the Netherlands. I call him the Flying Dutchman. :)

Oh, and I notice many Dutch end their emails with the word: Greetings. Which is weird to me still. :)

About the date --> I shall say nothing
About the high crime --> I don't no if it is really true (from my own country  ) but in some cities (Rotterdam, Almere) the crime are high. And I think (and many other people in Holland) the police should be more agressive because otherwise all things go wrong...

The name Wouter --> you pronounced Wou - ter   (it's quiet difficult for english people)

Opus--> can you give some positive things about The Netherlands :D
All things you said were quiet negative or isn't it?

If you think about Holland, what are the first thing were you're thinking about?

Tulips, Windmills, Wooden Shoes, Garden Gnomes, chesty-blond girls, pot, Red Light District and fish first come to mind about Holland.

I wouldn't say what I said was negative, just a fascination with other cultures. :)

I live in the Pacific Northwest, in America. Among the mountains.

According to GoldenEye's newspaper interview he lives in Germany but jan one time said something http://www.forum.kapilands.com/viewtopi ... 8&start=15
Go down about half way and look at jans post. I know several people that are not from were I live and still are X natioanlity. GoldenEye could be Dutch and that means most of the forum is Dutch. Or it could be jan talking nonsenes. Though we will never know unless GoldenEye tells us or we mange to capture and interrogate jan.

if you take that from "my brother zukovsky" you took that way too serious
'my brother' is meant the same way as "my friend" in that sentance... :P

I talk to GoldenEye several times a week, and if he was Dutch, he'd have sent me a PM in Dutch by now :P

That's indeed what most people think and it's true but of course, there are more things what are related with Holland and some things (wooden shoes) it was from the history but nowadays most people wearing normal shoes and only the farmers (and people who lived on small villages) wear wooden shoes :) (I'm one of them).

But what do you mean with: pot?
