Quality Bar

I noticed the quality bar on my stores,
if it is 0 quality the bar is very small but if it is only 1 quality it goes half way across the screen.
Is there any purpose in a quality above 2?
or does the quality bar not accurately represent the market quality of the product?

i think, that half of the bar represents average quality

yes, there is a purpose in having higher qualities: as soon as the average quality rises, your bar won*t show half of the screen when you sell q1, but it will be as small as your q0-bar is now...

The size of the bar corresponds to the difference between the quality sold and the average quality in the stats.

click the 'stats' button on the top of ur screen ... choose the country ur store is placed in and look up the product name. The quality see there, will be corresponded to yours, represented by the bar. If it has a very low quality in the stats screen (0.14) then ur quality 1 things will be very easy (quicker) to sell... if it is a high quality (6.23) then ur quality 1 things will sell slower, or for a lower price.

the game will slowly progress for all of those quality levels in an upward direction, meaning that things will gradually become more expensive (to the NPC) and will be able to be bought at higher qualities from suppliers of those goods.
