The current method of research calculation is surely FLAW!?

The current method of research calculation is surely FLAWED ... because the fact a element with a very low amount needed can be used to make a very how quality.

So here is my example:

I make watches of a reasonable quality.

The elements needed to produce are:

  • 40 g Gold
    0.1 kg Glass
    500 kWh Power

I make enough quality 1 gold for my productions;have researched quality 21 watches; have enough power and quality 27 glass.

So here is the calculation:

27+21+0+1=49

49/4=12 (rounded down)

The problem:Glass quality 27 considerably changes the overall average and is barely used.

This is the notes on my product and the prices in warehouse.
  • 40 g Gold-produce low quality at 120,00

i think you pay your workers at the power plants less then minimum wage...
cuz for me it costs 0,03 to produce power...

might be the level difference..

1. Always pay your buildings. Never calculate what is only costs you to make. (If you make power it is worth the market price NOT 0.01 or 0.03 which you pay to make it.)

2. I don't get it. Are you complaining that because you only use 0.1 Q27 glass you are getting an extra 8 quality levels?

Do you want research to have less value and give more quality value to sub products or vis versa?

I see no problem with the current research formula.

Think of it this way. You go buy a Gold Watch at the store. The gold and other parts are of great quality but, that little bit of glass is of low quality and breaks. Why is the glass less important than the gold covering the metal? The watch treats every part equal and so does the research in this game.
