Ehh... I don't mind if someone trash talks TIB. I mean if they are ignorant enough to fail to see the vast benefits some business partners play in a business simulation, that just means I'll have an advantage. If everyone that played Kapilands was also a TIB member then there would be no more TIB. Someone has to be the wolf and someone has to be the sheep.
I second that. What fun would the world be if we all got along?sirsloop wrote:Ehh... I don't mind if someone trash talks TIB. my 2 cents: i can sell my wardrobes for 3150+60q, and im not in tib. can anyone from tib confirm they are buying for that price? guess not, and if i was in tib, i would be "obliged" to sell to other members, at maybe 2600+60q (i said "obliged" because even if i wasnt forced to do it, i would do it for sake of my consciousness)
No one is obligated to buy or sell anything at any price. We do discuss market prices and set guidelines for store pricing that ensures good profits and longevity in the said market.
Maybe you can take on a little kapi and lead him towards a profitable business that one day will become a supplier for you. It doesn't cost a whole heck of a lot to buy some wood from a 10m FA biz at 75c... but who knows... maybe thats the boost they needed and they'll turn into a massive company in 4-6 months making a product you need! Anup, my big kapi, sold me some research at a reasonable price... I've done well with it... and he may be needing my products here shortly...

The market produces enough partners and you do not need TIB. You have the normal forums, which has enough advice and probably has a grater range of advice than TIB forums. TIB is the only real and active sybndicate, though it encourages undercutting which undemines the whole kapi-economy and can destroy entire markets because it is not profitable anymore because TIB undercut everyone to be morally better.
QUESTION, Does TIB have a poll or survey on what the price guidelines should be or is dominated by big players who use it to further their own desires, by manipulating the newbees.

TIB has a greater range of knowledge than this Offical forum not the other way around. (We have the largest companies that rarely ever post on this forum over at TIB willing to talk.)
Prices are determined by all members not by the largest FA members. Just recently the water producers got together and decided on a common price to sell water at for TIB members. Of course, it was stated many times that you have every right to sell water at whatever price you want. However, many water producers WANTED to set a price for TIB and signed up.
How do we encourage players to undercut the kapi-economy? In real life you have contracts where you give a little and get a little. That is what we do at TIB. We, the larger players, give a little more for our products while the smaller player get a little more than they could on the market. Then when they get larger they change places to help others out. That is how it is done in TIB and the Real world.
