"Recharging" Quality?

I cancelled some gas production and I didn't realize it dropped the oil quality back to zero. I have oil researched to level 9. Is is possible to get the oil back up to level 4 (where it was)? Or do I just need to make some gas using the zero-quality oil?

There is no way to change the quality after you cancel production of a product. Ever sub product not used will drop to Q0. (When I cancel my Q55 Pullover production because I want to change the time my Q52 Wool drops to Q0. Talk about a pain.)
