someone explain to me what they are... do...and why i want one (if i do)

That explains what they are and what they do. (They give score after completing tasks.)
They are for those of us with a lot of extra cash laying around that want something fun to do. There is no real reason to gain score outside of personal goals.
My personal goal on Realm 2 is to be the first to 100,000 score. So far I am getting pretty close but need another 18B cash to buy the rest of the items needed.
