What do you think?
Hey, I just started playing this game yesterday, and I'm loving it.
After a little experimenting with buildings and products, I decided to build two mines, and also decided to produce stones as my source of profit for my first few weeks in Kapilands.
Now, I don't know what to do because I'm almost broke and have to wait a few days for the stones to be completed from both factories.
However, I was wondering if any of you more experienced players have any suggestions or input on my strategy. I would greatly appreciate any comments/ideas on what I should do.
Thanks!

you can find several threads about how to start. basically its: produce raw materials and also buy rcs for the product you will produce later, research that product while you produce raw materials, after you make decent quality switch to the product of your life, and live happily ever after.
hint: products that give you most profit later are wardrobes, gas, leather jackets, televisions, golden necklaces, diamond rings. be careful about the jewelry though because its hard to find suppliers and the supply/demand is a b*tch

Besides all of the above, get used to waiting.
Especially in the beginning when you have little cash and buildings, but even when you get bigger, waiting is an essential feature of this game.
Oh, and always keep enough cash to be able to pay 10% market fee or better yet, sell your stones by contract to someone who has his office in the same country as you. (to avoid transportcost, not much, but when you are still small every cap counts ).

Yes Sally is right, you have to wait for long looong times sometimes. I just upgraded my well from 20-1000 and it takes about 400 hours, so yeah get used to it.sally wrote:Besides all of the above, get used to waiting.

If you only produce stones you can stop and start production anytime, no quality will be lost since stones are Q0, so you don't have to wait until your mines have finished production. (remember VerConMat?VerConMat Industries BV wrote:I would also advise you to only set your mines to 24 hours of production, that way you can sell your goods every day, and have a more steady income, rather that having to wait for days, and being broke.

But VerConMat is right about selling your stones everyday, that way you can buy new buildings sooner and it is more fun to play.
I know that.sally wrote:If you only produce stones you can stop and start production anytime, no quality will be lost since stones are Q0, so you don't have to wait until your mines have finished production. But cancelling and resetting 33 mines is more work than having them end automatically and only having to reset them.

That's why I only set 24 hours of production on my mines, as soon as production is done, I reset them for another 24 hours.
and then I sell the stones that I produced that day.

You can't.SuperBiz wrote:Also, I know this may sound dumb, but how do I set the production time for 24 hours without having to calculate it myself?
Thanks!

Some people use spreadsheets to calculate it for them I think,
but simply calculating is the most common way, I calculate everything myself.
It helps to have a keyboard with a calculator button, easy access.

Damn, you are slowGREED inc. wrote:also, is it THAT hard to multiply the amount per hour with 24? it takes you about 20 seconds.

Anything more then 5 seconds is long

Ah well, lets play a game but heaven forbids we use our brains

Sometimes i think people would actually prefer to just register for this game and immediatly get a 5B FA company from the start while the game is doing all the work and the owner only has to login once a day to see the growth and be proud....
Yay, that is fun

I don't even use the addon for 99% of the time cuz its mostly annoying.
Only 1 feature is actually usefull, but i only need that about once a week
