hi

i'm trying to increase my number of lamb Q4 i submitted to the contest..

i take the number of lamb i want to 'sell'
after that i fill in the price and the company --> '3' + 'contest'

when i send it i get this:

Shipping for contest

Contract denied!

Please check your entries.

at the same way, i have also submitted my 6,520 other lambs .....

anyone knows the reason for this??

The contest is for LAMB not LAMBS.

Very mean that people place Q4 lambs for a high price (meaning for me that they are for contest) at the market then...

And i'm not english from origin, so i had no idea of the difference between lamb and lambs...

Maybe "they" could change that word into lambsmeat and lambs.
Lot of people who are not from an English speaking country seem to have problems with this.

Well I can imagine it is an easy mistake to make, even for English speaking people.
Last year there was also a lamb contest and I also made that mistake.
And it is not that strange either: when do we ever talk about lams/lamb in English in real life?? Online??

And it is not high on anyones priority list to learn the difference between the two when learning English, especially not for people who speak a different language.
In Duch it is easy, we say lam (lambs) and lamsvlees (lambsmeat).

It would sound more logical to say: 1 lamb,2 lambs, 1 pound of lambsmeat.
Wouldn't it?

I don't know anyone who calls it lambsmeat.
In the English language:

Lambs = baby Sheep. (The baby animal.)
Lamb = baby sheep meat.
Mutton = sheep meat.
Sheep = Sheep (The adult animal.)

This is an English language version of the game. Why should we change the wording when it isn't correct in British or American English?

Its not mean of them to do so...its only retarded of people to just buy it without checking the contest.

Lamb and Lambs are PERFECT english words, you being to stupid doesn't mean they should just change the entire language.....

Damn, 2 weeks into the contest and people are still whining about this...

Had it really been such problem, why not complain during the last 2 years the game has been active in english already???

Is it that difficult to be carefull, no wonder people complain about being scammed so often.

Well if it isn't correct English I guess it shouldn't be changed, no.
still it isn't stupid (Ronintje) having trouble separating the 2.
I think it is very understandable and not retarded at all.
