I have been a bit nosy and looked at other peoples shop windows in order to see if they had any exciting reputation items. Some of the people with the highest points have items in their library like Flora and fauna of the new world (worth 100 reputation points).
How do they get these, cause I haven't seen them anywhere?

Hi u19is2,

if you are in a guild, and your guild successfully creates the Wonder of the World, you will receive a certificate, allowing you to build a library. If you have said library you will (among others) be able to purchase the book you are talking about for 50 Coins, giving you 100 reputation points in return.
